Hello friends,
how are you all getting on? Anybody in a danger zone? Anybody in a panic zone with supermarkets emptying as fast as the Australian fires spread? The Veneto has shut down all schools...

Re: Old paperwork

Isn't there some legislation out there somewhere that rules that you can't be chased for bills and stuff after 10 years have passed?

For example: Gentile Signora - according to our records you...

Re: Italian wedding invitation - help please

Ha ha aha .... hilarious and pretty much the same up in the North. I've seen people better dressed at a funeral than I have at weddings - think blue jeans and open necked white shirts for weddings...

Re: INPS contributions and retirement age

I need to find a Sugar Daddy because I don't think I'll be getting any kind of pension anywhere.
They should teach earnings, taxes and pension plans at school instead of ******* graphs and obtuse...

Re: Customer service in Italy

New boiler will be a condensing one in compliance with new laws and will certainly be much more efficient. Plumber has promised to keep the price down as much as possible so I hope he got a good deal...

Re: Customer service in Italy

The boiler is 20 years old so I know it well and the first thing I checked was the pressure on the bar. The only thing it does is turn on so electrical supply is there and everything else is dead....

Re: Customer service in Italy

You won't believe this. I finally got connected to the gas mains again last Friday at 3pm. Central heating roaring away and a long, hot bubble bath that evening. House warmed up nicely over the...

Re: Customer service in Italy

Managed to get hold of the plumber (who can't come out before 3pm) and he said this is going to be a nightmare, an expensive one. It's not just a case of changing the small cooker pipe but surprise...

Re: Customer service in Italy

When I came home today I thought I could smell gas in the kitchen so I turned off the only gas pipe in there that goes from under the sink to the cooker, aired the room and waited. Hours later I...

Re: what possessions to bring and what not when moving to France

I've been living in Italy for over 20 years, which is not France I know, but many things are similar. Apart from your personal things I would be stocking up on cheap UK medicines like Paracetamol and...

Re: Customer service in Italy

Some Italians just don't have a clue or just don't care.
My friends and I have met up at least once a fortnight for a lunchtime aperitivo in a village bar for the last few years. It never was a...

Re: when we're dead?

People have made me think about this. People have asked me about this. The only thing I have in Italy is 50% of my house. The only thing I am sure of is that when I am dead, I am DEAD.

My partner...

Re: Self Employed British Writer Wanting To Relocate To Italy

Re: HAPPY HOUR

This Brexshit is forcing people into all sorts of positions they would never have dreamed of finding themselves in.

Re: What do I need to apply for residency in Italy?

There are plenty of horror stories out there and it must be awful for those who can't speak Italian well enough to argue with the hopeless and uneducated twits regularly found behind a glass...

Re: What do I need to apply for residency in Italy?

Re: Asbestos roof

It saddens me so much to see, hear and read about how much non-Italians do to comply by the rules about buildings, roofs, asbestos, plaster, lime etc. etc and half of the public schools in Italy are...

Re: Renewing a tessera sanitaria?

Mine has always come through the post without me even realising that the other one was about to expire. I lost it some time back and applied for a replacement using the Agenzia Delle Entrate website....
