Re: Grant of RRV

Thanks. Yes will consider though I guess it's quite a commitment at +£2k. We're not 100% on the move as yet so the exercise is really just to ascertain what is the minimum to keep the option alive as...

Re: Grant of RRV

I'm not missing that part. That's why I'm suggesting they make separate later applications with the tie being that their husband/father is resident in the country with a job. If they have to make a...

Re: Grant of RRV

Understood and thanks. As above, I'm assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that if I can land a job and get an RRV then my wife and eldest child would then be able to similarly get RRV's. Once they were in...

Re: Grant of RRV

Many thanks for the info. So am I ok to try for a RRV for myself and then if/when we move, add my wife/daughter to that and apply for separate child visa's for the twins?

Re: Grant of RRV

Thanks all. How much will it be to add the twins to our PRV? Is it £1000pp plus medical? I had thought it was simply a matter of adding them to the application though I think that was just pre-grant?

Re: Grant of RRV

Thanks for the replies, will try for the RRV though we only went out for 1 month to validate so I doubt it will work. That said we're both still on the SOL and only 41 so maybe that will be enough....

Grant of RRV

Hi. Myself, wife and 5yr old daughter have PRV's for Australia. Since being granted we've been blessed with twins though we're unlikely to make the move before the PRV 5yr threshold. However, we will...

Citizenship - apply to children?

As a family we have PRV's. However, we might not all be in country long enough to attain citizenship. If I was to remain behind and become an Australian citizen, will my children automatically also...

Have PRV, how easy to get a RRV?

Hi. My wife, child and myself have 176 PRV's for unrestrcted access to live and work in Australia until 2015. Due family circumstances it's likely we may be in the UK until then and by which time...

Visa Start Date?

We've now been allocated our 176 visa - does the 5 year validity period start from the date of award of the date of validation (ie first entry into Aus). Thanks.

176 Relative Sponsor - Bond Required?

We hope to conclude our 176 relative sponsored visa soon. Watching 'Wanted Downunder' this week I heard reference of relatives putting up a bond. I wasn't aware of this - is this something we need to...

Medical & Police Checks

We've been asked to proceed with medical and police checks so I assume our 176 application is otherwise all in order? I understand the police checks take up to 3 weeks, but where is the best place to...

Re: Renting out UK property while in Oz

Thanks to all those who answered the original question. Checked with the mortgage provider and they will just raise the interest by 0.25% so all good.

NZ PR from Aus PR?

I found this statement on another thread regarding permanent resident status in New Zealand:

"Aussie PR automatically grants NZ PR on the back of it (the reverse is not true)"

Is this true?

Permanent Resident Oz to NZ

Hi. If you have PR status in Oz is it fairly straightforward to get a PR visa for New Zealand or does this require citizenship status?

Re: Renting out UK property while in Oz

Thanks. What you need to understand while moderating (I assume from Australia), is that first time buyers have currently been taken out of the market due to lack of 90% deposit deals in the UK. This...

Renting out UK property while in Oz

With the present climate I guess there are plenty of people travelling who can't sell and renting out existing properties back in th UK. What is typical with mortgage lenders? Do you have to change...

Re: Does the old CSL now mean nothing?

No - I'm Mechanical Engineer, but we did have a CO assigned, unfortunately it now looks like there will be a delay for a few more months.

Does the old CSL now mean nothing?

Hi. We had an application prior to the recent changes and were CSL. The new changes make no reference to the CSL - does our previous status have any influence now? Thanks

Re: Effect of recent changes on us?

Thanks for that toti - the difficult bit was Schedule 4 specifically states 176 class visa's which worried me, but I'm fairly sure we're Priority Group 3, so delayed but ok (for now!!). I still think...

Re: Effect of recent changes on us?

Thanks. I can't find any reference to a 'schedule 3' or 'schedule 4'? Is there any way of getting a refund as I can't believe they can put people in priority 4 which is basically indefinite hold when...
