Seems to me you've already made your mind up anyway. Do what you have to do but you may find that the school board and teachers will not yield in the way you expect. They have a system in place here...

I've taught in the UK and am teaching now in Calgary. Teaching here has been amazing, incredibly hard work, practically impossible to get into, but you get treated like a professional and in class...

you also need to get through an interview with Calgary Board, i know people who haven't and are very good teachers. If you don't, you can't reapply for 2 years.....

sorry, the service here is infinitely better than the UK, it may be slower because the checkout staff actually talk to the customers.....
