Re: L1 transfer and mortgage

When you lose your job as L-1 you have 14 days to leave the country. You can't transfer to any other employer. Unless you have some US family or similar, then you could be stuck very quickly. I know...

Just had my first Moderna shot at the Hudson County Drive Thru in Jersey City, NJ. Very efficient in and out in about 45 mins including parking up for 15 afterwards. I reckon they're doing about 200...

Re: Travelling on ESTA

That is true, but if they don't mention anything in particular to you, you should expect the 90 days as usual. They can of course admit you for any time less than that, but in the case above there is...

Re: Travelling on ESTA

Interesting, a few years ago I went US -> NYC -> Montreal (preclearance too) -> NYC -> UK with both an ESTA and a B1 (not a combined B1/B2) - which slightly confused both the checkin and the CBP...

Re: Driving in NJ with UK license

When I got my NJ license precovid, I managed to do 2 and 3 in the same trip. But it took hours and hours and the staff there (Newark) didn't really seem to know how to handle it. Make sure you tell...

Re: Travelling to USA from Spain

Why not payslips from the UK entity paying you?

Also, as you can recapture time spent outside the US on an L1 you could do this for a really long time. Say it was 1-2months a year then you'd be...

I assume this a standard UK combined BSc and MSc undergraduate degree where you end up with a masters at the end. It's 4 years total not a undergrad + 4 years.

Re: Reciprocity fee for NIV processing

I paid my L-1B fee in person at the consulate, with a UK debit card charged in USD. I then had to expense it back from my employer. Can your employer help you pay for it?
