Re: K1, sent AOS, didn't go to interview ...

Thanks Matthew,

I also have too little information. When we first talked I thought they could probably go it alone, but I'm fast changing my mind. They would be better off consulting a lawyer.

Re: AOS medical adventure!

OUCH indeed!

Re: K1, sent AOS, didn't go to interview ...

Many thanks to both.

But surely trying to open their AOS case again would be impossible anyway, as he is out of the country and has been told he can't even visit on a visa waiver?

K1, sent AOS, didn't go to interview ...

Hi .. I'm writing for a friend here.

The UKC, male, came on a K1 visa and sent in AOS, EAD and AP. In the meantime the marriage fell on hard times and the couple decided to divorce. When the...

Re: I-130: "Address" and "last lived together"

Hmmm .. think I"m about to disagree with you. During the process of immigration I always gave my Spanish address. Hey .. we could have been living in an hotel during those proceedings ......

Foreign income - necessary proof/paperwork?

Hi all ...

Does anyone know if one has to request 1099-DIV forms from UK companies/banks or if the original tax certificate from the dividend payment is sufficient?

Thanks for any help. Jill

Re: Reminder of Fee Changes

No ... there is no fee for fingerprinting when you do CR-1/IR-1.

I may have presumed too much when thinking that it sounded like I-130s filed with the intention of consular processing, but I've...

Re: What comes after DS230?

You can call and find out!

1-603-334-0700

Listen carefully and opt to speak to an agent. Have your case number handy.

As a very rough guide, your DS230 will be entered into the computer...

Re: AOS and Required Documentation

Just one thing. There is something a little "different" with the UK divorces. Do make sure that it has a court stamp and signature on it before sending.

Re: Do I need a new I864 for CR1 interview?

I asked this question of the consulate in Madrid this week. I was told that it wasn't necessary, but if I had a copy I could bring it with me! We filed with my husband's 2004 tax return so I've...

Re: Finished Interview for K3, I130 Approved Too

Firstly, you don't get a receipt when you pay the I864 fee bill. The next thing your wife will receive is the I864 packet itself. From sending in the DS3032 to receiving the DS230 would take a...

Re: visa overstay.

You completely miss the point. It is NOT a loophope for those who intend to return and proceed with a CR-1 (no idea why anyone would bother with K3 in these times)

A K1 visa was not an option...

Re: sending I-797 receipt to different address

Even though VSC is working a tiny bit slower than CSC at the moment it still seems reasonable to expect that your I-130 would be processed before the I-129F sees the light of day.
