Re: Practical driving test

Re: Cell phone problems

Thanks. It looks like from HTC UK website that the phone does support those bands? Tech support have been totally unhelpful. Really didn't want to have to shell out for 2 new phones but it's looking...

Re: Cell phone problems

Phone is HTC One A9s and MintSim is a T-mobile MVNO. Calls and texts are fine, only gets an...

So happy to see you're settling in well, Kelly! We fly in 3 days and DH (the Brit) is VERY excited. Bit of a crazy first week sorting car, bank, etc. but he's looking forward to all the little...

Re: Health Insurance - Pointers?

That would be useful for the future, definitely, and I'm sure what will happen once we have a workplace insurance plan. I was more contemplating how to do it as a fresh-of-the-boat immigrant with...

Re: Health Insurance - Pointers?

Yeah, I've checked and they're all pretty cheap (like $10-15 for a month's supply), thank goodness. 2 are just asthma inhalers, nothing exotic! It was more just working out *how* to get them. GP...

Re: Health Insurance - Pointers?

I've looked at eHealth, but wanted to ask the BE hive mind - what does one do about prescription meds for UKC husband?! Since we're going over on a family visa, we don't have any workplace insurance...

Re: I want to move to America

I had to laugh at "Because you pay the exact same amount if not more through tax for the nhs than most health insurance in the USA".

Granted I only earn a token amount as a part-time work-at-home...

Re: K1: Married, about to send AOS

BoA are AWFUL. I got married 9 years ago and my account is still in my maiden name as it was nearly impossible to enact a change from abroad. Can't wait until we land next month to get rid of them!
