We live in Leics & went to Tudor Medical Centre in Notts, then over to Park Hospital for x-rays.
The four of us were in there, in total, for 1 hour - that'll be £1000 please. :eek:

You only get extra baggage allowance if you have the 'right' kind of visa.
PR is a definate, but as far as I can see, work visa is not. We are gutted as are having to send ourselves a box of winter...

Yep though this has caused a little confusion! Checked with Singapore who said its fine as long as the seat is approved by CAA. Checked with CAA who say as long as the airline approve the seat, all...

We're going to pay for a seat for our 8mnth old - can't imagine having her on my lap for that length of time! As for the bassinet, she'd hate it!

I've tried (calling & emailing) Singapore, Air NZ & Emirates & they all say the same - unless you have the right sort of visa or pr, they won't budge on the 20kg allowance.
I don't want to chance...

Has anyone had to send themselves clothes etc because of crazy baggage allowances?
Because we'll only have work visas initially, we aren't entitled to anymore than 20kgs with any airline.

How long for police checks?

Just so I can stop having a complete nervous breakdown, can you tell me roughly how long these took to come after you received receipt letter?
