Re: Brit in Saudi, can I drive into UAE ok?

Hi, we did this a couple of years ago. Loooooooooooooooooooooong drive, but not busy traffic wise. Easy to cross the border, took us about an hour in all - including getting the insurance.

On...

Re: The Royal Wedding

I laughed at the dumping the train on the ground too ! Loved some of the hats and some of them were truly awful. Now waiting with glee to watch Fashion Police with Joan Rivers which will no doubt...

Re: Thinking of moving to Saudi

If you are used to leading a busy life, working, with no kids you will go stark raving bonkers in Riyadh . . . unless you can find a job. I managed to get a job when I was there and it saved my...

Re: We want to move to Cyprus...advice pls

Re: We want to move to Cyprus...advice pls

Not a lot of obvious activity from the bases - I go to and fro twice a week due to kids involvements down there - doesn't appear to be any additional security. The Red Arrows are here just now and...

Re: Possible move to jeddah from London

Re: Moving from Jeddah to Dubai !

I guess at that rate you were buying the real stuff ? Much cheaper to make your own! LOL That is a huge sum for Saudi - we didn't spend anywhere near that much!

Re: Which Car?

We are almost floating away...
