Re: Covid 19

Definitely the hype is unbelievable, makes you wonder if there is anything happening backstage which they want to distract us from

Re: Covid 19

I still don't see how this ends... what we really need is some proper misinformation to make us think everything is ok and we just carry on with life. I'm really starting to think that transparency...

Re: Covid 19

I...

Re: Covid 19

Scamp you didn’t see what I wrote above. I’m more than happy homeschooling my kids, I’m just not happy paying the school for doing it.

Yes this whole thing sucks for everyone not just the school....

As for me, I’m just going to hold out on paying the term 3 fees just yet.

To be honest, if the school...

Re: Covid 19

Of course I’m not saying that schools must remain open if there are concerns for the health of the students.

I’m asking if parents are entitled to a reduction in school fees for this time period....

Re: Covid 19

They most definitely do not. They are 8 and 11 year old boys, more prone to playing games online if given the half the chance, unless monitored continuously. So there goes my day job out the...

Re: Covid 19

I’m just wondering as a parent my question is: Do I, or do I not ignore the email coming soon from my childrens school saying that Term 3 fees are now due? I would think we should at least be...

Re: Looking to relocate to Dubai for a few years

Are you talking in pounds or in dirhams? And do you mean 60k yearly or monthly? It depends on what you consider a ‘good standard’ of living.

Probably Millhouse would be better able to tell you how...

Re: Looking to relocate to Dubai for a few years

So would you rather have a better quality of life or have enough savings? Would you rather live the moment at Kite beach in Dubai or save for a rainy day in London? The two are mutually exclusive...

Re: Looking to relocate to Dubai for a few years

You will probably have a ‘better lifestyle’ here if you (or both of you) managed to secure a job as good as the one you got now in London. Apartments are much bigger here, weather is great most of...

Moses2013 you would be surprised at how many crappy Shawermas i’v had abroad. And Shawerma is pretty simple to make you would think. I don’t think of myself as a foodie but some Lebanese restaurants...

Re: Hubby wants to move back to London from Dubai

PS: I have suggested we downgrade to 130k for rent and get a smaller car. Hubby still unconvinced that’s good enough. What is the basic cost of an average car over here anyway? Including the cost of...
