The woman bringing the case was not an accidental citizen, she was born and raised in the US, then moved to UK and got married. Part of her objection was being unable to open bank accounts in the UK...

I agree it has approaching zero chance, and agree it will not change US taxation. But, theoretically, if she wins on a privacy claim or similar, wouldn’t it stop the requirement for UK financial...

Ha! Yes, I do my tax return using Turbo tax, but there is one form (8833) that is not included so i have to print out and send paper copy. Usually it does not take too long to hear back, looks like...

1 May 2020 - submitted GC renewal 1 week after 14th birthday. Got a receipt of application 9 days later
5 Dec 2020 - biometrics appt scheduled for 31 Dec. We can't make it so request a new...

Sorry, can you clarify? When you say WEP applies to all foreign pensions, you mean that the amount of SS is reduced, not that the foreign pension is reduced?

My son turned 14 over a year ago. We applied to renew his green card at the time (April), and other than a receipt didn't hear anything back until last Dec when they sent a biometrics appt....

I thought you could apply for a new one up to 9 months before the current passport expired, and the expiry of the new one would be 10 years after the expiry of the current one (ie you wouldn't 'lose'...
