Re: UK citizen applying for USA Social Security from within UK

I dont know if it helps you, but I applied via the US Embassy in Chile, where I live. There is a section in the embassy that deals with US citizens requirements, and even though I’m not a US citizen,...

Re: Dare to dream?

All I can suggest is that you carry on dreaming, because the likelihood of fulfilling your dream with just a state pension and £100000, is zero. Sorry, but that’s life !

Re: Brits with established business in USA

Sounds like he’s looking for work in any of the areas he mentioned. I dont like the purposely vague replies he gives, and hence wouldnt reply .

Re: Is the quality of this car acceptable?

I also suggest you just get rid of it the best way you can and buy Toyota. We’ve had Toyotas for the padt 14 years, and never ever had any problems. We get them serviced every 10000km and that’s it....

Re: Where to live in the Caribbean?

Re: Job offer - Public Investment Fund

It looks like you have a decent situation in the UK, and your wife too, if she wants to work. You didnt say why you are considering the move, but if the idea is just to try and put some capital away,...

Re: Vaccine - NZ strategy?

I read that NZ hopes to have all vaccinated by the end of the year, ie 5 million in 10 months; pretty lousy in my opinion. Chile, has vaccinatec just under 3 million in 3 weeks.

Re: How to Return - 2022

Re: Invoicing your own UK Ltd co as Autonomo?

I dont see how you could invoice your UK company for services, if you are an employee of that company ? I imagine as you are an employee, you have an employment contract, which normally would state...

Re: Antigua

I support the other replies questioning your ideas. I know you say you dont expect “island life” , whatever that may mean, will be the same as being on vacation, from what I know, “ caribbean life”...

Re: House exchange ??

I cant see why either side would gain from exchanging their homes, ( assuming you mean change of ownership). It would be far easier for both parties to just sell their homes and buy what they want,...

Re: Transit visa for Australian again

I dont see how your reply relates to my question. The in transit situation has nothing to do with internal travel. I’m referring to those who arrive in the USon an international flight, connecting...

Re: Sending documents from Argentina to UK for passport?

The best way is via courier, say DHL. It costs a bit but it’s fast and secure. The fee you pay to renew your passport includes them sending it back to you by courier as well.
