Re: Renting a cargo van (as opposed to a truck) one-way

Have you looked at uShip ?

It's a bit like uber; you list the stuff you have that needs to be shipped and get bids on it. Some bids will be from commerical movers while some will be from averages...

Re: Renting a cargo van (as opposed to a truck) one-way

I have used Freightcenter.com and Freightquote.com to book LTL shipments for equipment. They all require the contents to be palletized and items secured with banding or some other means, or crated....

Re: Renting a cargo van (as opposed to a truck) one-way

Yeah the individual stores can give you deals and will have vehicles that the national website does not list. Only way to know for sure is to call the store or visit. The website does not list Ford...

Re: Renting a cargo van (as opposed to a truck) one-way

Enterprise car rental does one-way rentals. It's been about two years since I rented from their car division. The last several times I rented was from their truck division; F550 stake-bed trucks. The...

Re: Drove to Canada recently? What's the Covid requirement?

When the US Border Patrol supervisor told me that all I needed was a negative PCR test no later than 72 hours prior to entry into Canada, I forgot to ask him if that same test was good for US entry,...

Re: What shipping service do you use to send small items from the UK to the US?

It was 110 volts and the brand is quite rare over here because it is very expensive. I didn't end up buying it but will in the future. I do have other stuff in England, from a 1000lb grinder to...

What shipping service do you use to send small items from the UK to the US?

Electric power tool. Weighs around 20 lbs. Not sure on dimensions, but estimate around 2 feet x 2.5 feet x 1 feet.

What shipping provider would you use to send this item to the MidWest US ? I can...

Re: Do people prefer a bathtub-shower to a walk-in shower?

Anyone have a walk-in bathtub ? Just how effective are they in not leaking water?

Talking Re: Do people prefer a bathtub-shower to a walk-in shower?

Got myself a new top loader back in March, a Maytag commerical. Dual action agitator does good clothes turnover. Can soak clothes for as long as I want.

Re: Do people prefer a bathtub-shower to a walk-in shower?

My bathroom is a wet bathroom; there is a floor drain outside the shower, so I can hose off the toilet and floor. This house was built about 3 years ago, and when it was being built I asked for a...

Re: Do people prefer a bathtub-shower to a walk-in shower?

After every shower, I wash down the shower walls and door with the water temp at the highest setting. My doors always look clean and clear.

Re: Do people prefer a bathtub-shower to a walk-in shower?

I was just thinking about what a bath-tub would be good for and thought about our dog. I used to bathe my cat in the utility sink. Our golden retriever is shampooed / washed in the shower; much...

Re: Do people prefer a bathtub-shower to a walk-in shower?

A decent ready-made walk-in shower and bathtub-shower are about the same price. My guess is that new apartments still keep installing bath-tubs because they believe that is what people want. Homes...

Re: Do people prefer a bathtub-shower to a walk-in shower?

I don't like bathtub-showers because they are small, because the shower is always the dimensions of the bathtub which is always too bloody narrow. And what makes it worse is when the shower curtain...

Do people prefer a bathtub-shower to a walk-in shower?

I much rather have a bathroom with a walk-in shower than a bathtub. I don't take baths, only showers. Most reasonably priced apartments anywhere have bathtub showers. When I was looking for...

Re: Tendency amongst young American women to employ Vocal Fry

Re: Tendency amongst young American women to employ Vocal Fry

Here's Connie Chung doing a segment on uptalk; of all the youtube videos giving examples of uptalk, I think Connie's exaggerated one is the best.

The Kardashians, Britney Spears, Kesha, Paris Hilton and many other female celebs employ it. A study found 2/3rd of college girls talk this way. It's associated with Southern Califronia Valley Girl...
