To be honest you will find that anywhere in Spain. Drive 5 mins from coast and it's a completely different picture.

As long as you have done your calculations and know you can manage on that money, I don't see a problem in your case. Of course all the other things are important like common law relationship etc....

At least it would give more options and I did enjoy some parts of the city centre in Belfast after visiting last year. A lot has improved though and we now have a new linking motorway between Athenry...

I've never been farther than Belfast and from us Co. Galway it would be 4 1/2 hours drive. It even has an Asda:-)

As others have said, all circumstances are different. You have to do your own calculations but in our case today 2 adults working and no children, moving to Spain would mean a monthly loss of €2,000...
