What I think we will do is first get a new job for OH and sort out our finances here (this trip has wiped us out) and then keep applying for jobs in NZ hoping we may get vey lucky!

Honestly he has travelled the length and breadth of NZ. And has been living in Marton for 6 months!!!!! So we really were willing to live in any part!

Thanks for that lead, but he is leaving on wednesday morning (NZ time) because his ticket runs out on Thursday. To be honest he has applied for loads of jobs similar to this but the same response...

To be honest he went initially to get a job that is on the ISSL but struggled and ended up with a general job, which 'any Kiwi can do' so I kinda expected it, but it has taken them over 2 months to...

OH has just called me from NZ and he has been refused a work permit:frown::( So he is coming home, leaving tomorrow and will arrive here on saturday.

It will be strange to have im home after 6...

They deffinatley do not let dogs out of the coge until NZ, I think all companies use Air New Zealand and if you talk to the pet movers you can arrange for the same flight with plenty of notice given....

You need to use a pet transport company, search on here, there has been loads of advise. I'm using petair based in the north but there are loads to choose from.

Apparently if you go onto Air New Zealand and put in EMIGRAT**** as a promo code you get discount. Not sure if it still works give it a go.

OH went with Royal Brunei for £500, bit of a nightmare of a journey (lots of landing and taking off) but he said the flight and staff were really good, they only fly from Heathrow.

My husband has gone over on a visitors visa with the plan of finding a job that he is qualified to do, which is on the needed list. He has really struggled and after 5 months has only managed...

My OH has been in NZ since the begining of Sept. and he has been waiting for is work permit for ages now.
Thought the time apart would be fine but it's been nearly 5 months apart...

Don't know if this helps but my OH is in NZ, not Auckland though, and he applied for his work permit in December, they took the payment on the 18th of Dec but he hasn't heard anything more....

I'm a TA also, apparantly they don't recognise NVQ at level 2, but do for level 3 if it is relevant to a job you have obtained from the skills list, and unfortunatley TA is not on that list.
