Re: Who else is concerned about trip to UK for Christmas with family?

Re: Who else is concerned about trip to UK for Christmas with family?

Re: Fires in California

The first helicopter to arrive was an NYPD one. The roof was already 90% covered by smoke and the pilot Tim Hayes couldn't clearly see enough of the roof to evaluate a landing. The roof was covered...

Re: UK TV Programs

Was at Willesden when that investigation kicked off. Quite eerie going into 185 Melrose Ave, where he had lived, wondering what was under the floors. He was posted to the relief I eventually joined...

Re: Fires in California

Some of the mandatory level 3 area has been down graded to level 2, so at least some people can start the return home. Not because the riverside fire is contained, but that the weather conditions...

Re: Fires in California

We, and a sizeable chunk of the level 1 area, have been removed from the evacuation zones. The mandatory evacuation zone remains unchanged.

Re: Fires in California

A good chunk of the area of Clackamas County that was level 2 has been downgraded to level 1. While 0% contained they have managed to slow the growth considerably on the biggest fire. There are...

Re: WTF in America

So there are 24,000 calls that require a medical response. The solutions is train your dispatchers to triage the calls correctly, and have the appropriate response available. That doesn't require...

Which of course is why police are sent, and a lot of the time the person asking for help lies about the situation to get a police response. The assumption you outline is a reasonable one and is why...
