Re: Are you living the life you moved for?

Only within Málaga and Cádiz provinces jackytoo, because that is the point, Spanish food is very varied depending on what part of the country you are in.

Re: Are you living the life you moved for?

Re: Are you living the life you moved for?

That reminds me of the best menu del dia I've ever eaten in a restaurant set inside a cave in Ciutadella, Menorca.

We had a selection of 5 or 6 starters, tasting menu style - and then caldereta de...

Re: Are you living the life you moved for?

Depends where you shop, how much you want to pay and what part of Spain you are living in.

On the North Atlantic Coast usually at least half the fish on display is from there, but it is more...

Re: Are you living the life you moved for?

Have you been to all those countries to test out the food?

Re: Are you living the life you moved for?

Not true at all, in any way.

You just go to bad places. Sorry :)

We've been to lots of good places for a menu del dia in Malaga city, Pedregalejo, Granada, BCN, Asturias, everywhere, and they...

Re: Are you living the life you moved for?

For Brits, it all comes down to the weather I am sure of it. Evidenced by the Brits who live near us who seem to spend most their time lying by the communal pool listening to the motorway :)

There...

Re: Are you living the life you moved for?

I do like a good quality pork pie or sausage roll, but there are equivalents that are Spanish and just as good, though not available everywhere. I ate something called "queso de cerdo" in Granada,...

Re: Are you living the life you moved for?

If you don't want to sit down then go to a panaderia, you can usually get empanadas or empanadillas (pretty much like pies, usually of tuna, but can get meat ones). And you have all the sweet things...

There is not a culture of adults going...

Re: Are you living the life you moved for?

In London we frequently...

Re: Are you living the life you moved for?

Well, yes and no

I am enjoying life in Spain, but really the biggest difference is the language and culture. And most "expats" speak English most of the time so even that wont be so different....
