Re: World Cup 2014

No change here. Lots of wonderful goals but he is a liability. While I will miss his performances, I'm glad the baggage can be Barca's problem now.

Re: World Cup 2014

England should appoint Roger Hodgson next, since they appear to like to take the long way home from tournaments ...

Re: World Cup 2014

That would have been funnier if you'd got Roy Hodgson's name right

Re: World Cup 2014

You're glossing conveniently over the part where I said England would make the quarter finals, aren't you?

Re: World Cup 2014

Was I even playing fantasy world cup, or is that score based on how many times I said Germany were going to win?

Interestingly, I did do a predictions game some bloke in my wife's work did for the...

Re: World Cup 2014

Saying the best team in the competition is probably going to win it is hardly sticking my neck out

Re: World Cup 2014

On May 29th, I said the same. I believe we will both be proved to be right.

Argentina may be light years ahead of Brazil defensively but Germany are playing the better football. They will prove...

Re: World Cup 2014

What a game. Brazil redefined shite today while Germany proved once again they are, in fact, anything but boring.

Well done Klose on beating the record, too.

Re: World Cup 2014

Bloody right it went quick. The weather was more than decent for us, it was sunny for most of the time, only rained one day and a little bit here on other days.

It's not crap being back, though I...

Re: World Cup 2014

Ultimately they are a good solid team and have progressed on the strength of that. As are the Dutch, which is why I think we should have a rematch of 1974, rather than the Brazil v Argentina dive...

Re: World Cup 2014

That's a load of rubbish. Other than a few poor showings in the Euros during the 2000s, I don't think Germany are dull.

Every team has dull matches, of course, but they play good football and are...

Re: World Cup 2014

I get the England/Argentina stuff, Maradona absolutely cheated in 1986, but I bear no grudge against the Germans. The two penalty shoot outs in 1990 and 1996 were not won by Germany as much as they...

Re: World Cup 2014

**** the lot of you. Germany all the way for me.

The Netherlands only beat Mexico by virtue of Robben diving like the giant ****ing poofter that he is; Brazil have been utter gash and don't...

Re: World Cup 2014

Yeah, while it is a testament to the talent that was at Saints last year, it's got to be depressing to see them go.

Re: World Cup 2014

It was Dalglish who supported him, after the Evra incident.

Nobody has defended his biting and I think Brenda is the type that would seek to distance himself from that behaviour. He doesn't...

Re: World Cup 2014

I think Uruguay will have that one, but it won't be by much.

I'll still record the England game though, just to watch them one last time. Really the next game I'm properly looking forward to is...

Mexico are playing well too. I thought they were unlucky not to get a win against Brazil.

Re: World Cup 2014

Meh. These things happen. At least they qualified in the first place

(I'm still waiting for another 1982 ...)
