Yes I did read through quite a few notes, although it can be a little confusing depending on situation.

And I did read out medicals, so no she doesn't need a medical as she's not working...

Yes it's the same, you must reside in Alberta for at least 12 months OR the parents live there!! So that's a bonus as hubby 1st anniversary is Feb 2013!
