Re: Visa options - UK lawyer

This is doable, but not wise to invest that much money unless you have experience in the operations of such a business. You also need to be aware that an E2 does not directly lead to a Green Card,...

Re: Texas to England and back again .... maybe

Disregard the DCF portion of the above answers, it will not exist (in all likelihood) by the time you are ready to file.

Re: Armageddon 2020 - US election

Oh are we capable of doing so? Absolutely. That's why I said 'decent shot' rather than 'certainty'

We are, after all, still a year and a half away from the election and we have no idea who the Dem...

Re: Armageddon 2020 - US election

Who knows with Trump. Probably a senior moment.

What I don't understand is how he thinks 'rinse and repeat' is going to work for 2020? The Democratic base is energized, moderates on the whole...

Re: Advice on what Visa to try for if Any

Honestly it doesn't sound like any of the work based visas will apply to you since they pretty much universally require a position that requires a degree. Not to mention that they are not permanent...

Re: Want to move to USA - looking for advice/help

I agree with everything Pulaski says.

One thing you need to consider is your education. The US is very paper based. If you don't have a degree you will be unlikely to make it through the paper...

Re: President Trump

I see Trump was bringing out all the greatest hits at his campaign rally last night, even a throwback to 'Lock her up'

Does he not get that holding what you have is going to lose him this...

Re: ESTA, B2 or time to give up?

Agree that 1) is your only hope. If 1) fails, 3) will happen.

Good luck.

Re: My N-400 Progress

Yep I can appreciate it's frustrating. Seems like the standard advice now should become to hold off on the N400 until you get your ROC approval. Hopefully it'll come soon enough and you can get both...

Re: E2 essential employee visa denied

You may have just got an officer having a bad day, it can and does happen. There's no harm in reapplying if that's what the company want to do, but an appeal is pointless.

Re: E2 essential employee visa denied

I agree that your unique experience with the company is an essential part of the visa qualification, however it appears that this was insufficient for the officer to grant the visa.

Do you feel...

Re: E2 essential employee visa denied

Not sure providing more info to us will help. Follow the advice that you were given by your companies lawyers, they are far more knowledgeable (or should be) than we are as internet lay people.

Re: Divorce and UK pre-marriage assets... Help!

Manipulators are like that. Get out of the house, file a restraining order (if one is not part of the divorce automatically, they are in GA) and dig in. He can't hurt you, if he tries and violates...

Re: Is It Wrong To Want To 'Look' For An American Girlfriend

It's not the heat in the summer so much as the humidity. It's steamy, even if it's only a 90 degree day. It doesn't stop either, from April-October. Actually last year it was still 80+ every day...

Re: i130 approvd. Next steps

Unless the other I130 approval comes through prior to the expiration of the VWP the unapproved parent needs to leave. An overstay in this situation between VWP expiration and AOS filing would...
