Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

They're printing your visa and mailing it back to you.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Very, very unusual! I've done something like 30 entries under waivers and have gone to secondary every time.

Re: Criminal Record applying for L1 and L2 Visas

More info needed.

Presumably your partner needed and received a waiver?

As for your situation - what were the dates of your cautions? If prior to I think 2008, generally cautions are not...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

It's the one you register your account with to book the interview in the first place.

Re: Visa interview time frames

It would be good if the people in this thread could report back with how their interviews go. I have heard through a friend that E-2s have become more difficult to get and renew, but I have no real...

Re: Change Of Status Approved - Best way to get Visa stamp??

Yeah, more information needed. What paperwork do you have and what did you fill in to adjust status in country on a NIV? Specifics are important here.

My expectation is that yes, you do have to...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Bear in mind that you will be in the visa queue and she will be in the esta automatic machine line too, then, increasing your divergence.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

By yourself - always by yourself. I have only seen children in secondary when a parent was up for question. Unless your wife needs to goto secondary, she won't be coming with you.

You will not be...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Yes, secondary is par for the course with anyone that has a waiver. Bring a book, not an electronic device. It can take several hours.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

It seems the actual sticking of the visa into the passport is taking a fair bit longer than it used to, several people had this now.

Re: L2 spouse old criminal record

It is technically all you need, alongside a typed out VCU-1 form. You can get a SAR from the arresting/charging police force if you want more information to support a particularly complex case/or...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

I don't think there are reasonable parking options near the embassy. East Croydon station into Victoria (possibly Vauxhall) won't be too bad at all and probably a better choice than trying to taxi...

Re: L2 spouse old criminal record

Generally common assault is not a CIMT so he should not need a waiver of inadmissability. Should be fine.

Re: Visa interview time frames

The appointment date picker has new dates released somewhat regularly. So right now the only available one is December or whatever it is - when you go to change appointment through the scheduler you...

Re: Visa interview time frames

Just keep checking. They release a bunch of appointments weekly and they obviously get snapped up. You should be looking at about a 3 month wait.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Passport issuance definitely seems a bit slower than it used to be. 5-7 working days was normal pre pandemic, it now seems more like 12-15 working days.

Re: Tn visa (canada) to E-1 ?

Agreed, a puzzling question, and also kind of difficult to see the point in this case.

Regardless, you are generally able to hold two different, valid non-immigrant visas at the same time. Again...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

I got mine back in 2 weeks and that included the May bank holiday in the middle. You should be fine.

Re: Visa with criminal record

I am inclined to agree, exactly how this would be categorised is not that easy to see given the crime is quite indirect.

But, in some respects you could view it like using a drug - relatively...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Yes, you will simply be admitted under B1 rather than B2 if the principal reason is for business meetings/conferences etc.

You may require evidence, conference schedule/tickets etc are probably...
