You can only count HALF the time as a temporary resident, up to a maximum contributing period of 1 year (which is 50% of 2 years).

One year as a temporary resident only contributes half a year.

We submitted our Citizenship applications on 1st June 2018.

Today we had our Citizenship Ceremony - 4th June 2019.

Test date was 14th March.

The 'Bad' update is that on 8th March, my employer did some downsizing and I was one of 20 people let go.

Our application was submitted in May 2018 and we got the Invitations for the Citizenship Test today, for 14th March....

It took me under a week to get a new passport - everything gets pre-validated online and you send off by express courier.

Your 'proof of no claims' will be reviewed in a few months time by actual ICBC pedantic staff and will be rejected before 2012 because of the gap. You will be billed for the extra premium.
