As Former Lancastrian says when you are in Canada you can just go to a Service Canada office with the paperwork and they will issue you a number while you wait.

In Manitoba you have to have additional Ride Share insurance.

In Manitoba UberEats (nor any of the food delivery companies) provide any insurance...

If you formed a Canadian LTD Company who contracted you to the UK Company you could pay yourself from that Canadian company.

You may need a couple of years of trading though, I did this back in...

A Canadian lender will only look at the liability due to the problems in pursuing the asset value in a foreign country should you default. It's just not worth the hassle to them.

It's unfortunate, but any rental property with a loan against it is going to adversely effect the amount of money you can borrow.

The mortgage is a liability, but it is not offset by the rental as...

Winter tires for your car, they do make a noticeable difference.

If you are in Winnipeg most of the time you will not need any heavy duty winter wear unless you plan on spending a lot of time out...
