Re: Premier League 2014-15

Avoiding Europa League play off's I think is a huge bonus although the club will no doubt blow that preparation on some shirt selling pointless fixture tour overseas.

Nice to see our two marquee...

Re: Premier League 2014-15

Spent final day on the golf course to be honest.

No real surprises other than Liverpool being humiliated. If Brendan Rodgers does stay on he needs to learn to shut his mouth and choose his words...

Re: Premier League 2014-15

Re: Premier League 2014-15

The standard english player who assumes he's made it when he gets a big contract rather than win he wins trophies or awards.

I remember seeing Franny Jeffers scoring a brace at White Hart Lane.

Re: Premier League 2014-15

I think he'll end up at City on a stupid money deal. He'll hardly play and in 3 years he'll be at West Ham or somewhere as he falls down the divisions into obscurity.

I think United and Arsenal...

Re: Premier League 2014-15

Sunderland could really do with a result against Arsenal as they head to Chelsea on the final day.

With Newcastle and Hull both at home next week they could get sucked back down.

It's going to...

Re: Premier League 2014-15

Agreed.

European Cup finals with two teams from the same league are dull as *****.

Come on Juventus!

Re: Premier League 2014-15

Sadly football is not played on paper it is played on grass :-(

I think in a 4-4-2 with two wingers Soldado would have been fine.

I'd give Lamela one more year. Still very young and you see...

Re: Premier League 2014-15

Move Falcao on and sign someone else.

Smart piece of business actually. You could have spent 50 million on him and had a dud. By testing him on a loan spell you know he hasn't got the steel to...

Re: Premier League 2014-15

Berbatov is box office. Entry money on his own. Not the sort of player you want to sign if you are planning on staying in the Premier League though.

Tottenham have kind of done how I expected this...

Re: Premier League 2014-15

I knew one guy from high school who switched clubs. All through high school he was a Liverpool fan. Suddenly after adding me on Facebook he is the biggest Chelski fan in the world. I called him out...

Re: Premier League 2014-15

Could have Lennon for 9.5 million boys? Gambling more money on a player not proven in the Premier League.

Re: Premier League 2014-15

I agree with everything you're saying.

In theory if Everton are the only interested club I would expect the deal to be done for a lot less than 9 million.

Lennon is an internationally capped...

Re: Premier League 2014-15

Yes but you are just looking at one piece of the pie and that is his value to Spurs.

Sure he doesn't feature in their plans so needs to be offloaded but he has established a value to Everton. So...

Re: Premier League 2014-15

Contract term can be a sticking point if the player refuses to discuss a new deal.

I'd be surprised if Everton can't get him for less because in a year he'd be a free agent. Tottenham are better...

Re: Premier League 2014-15

Levy up to his old tricks already.

Tottenham have no friends in the transfer market. Only those we hose and those who hose us. The latter more common in recent years.

Saha was part of the great...

He had 3 fairly decent seasons on the bounce.

A lot of it is the media who can click bait with rumours of a move to Chelsea, City or United.

I can't imagine any knowledgeable football person at...

Re: Premier League 2014-15

Fazio starting to look pretty good actually.

I think he'll earn some plaudits next season. It did take him 30 or so games to bed down mind you.

Other than that no idea what Tottenham will do in...

Surely amongst the millions and millions of supposed Arsenal fans they could've come up with more inventive tweets?

Mind you when I watched Tottenham play Arsenal off the park...

Re: Premier League 2014-15

As long as the Palace faithful draw on the inspirational support of Seattle Sounders and the Tetris then anything is possible
