I'll keep checking those websites for any updates between now and the end of the year, but I doubt anything will change.

Re: Ancestry visa options for wife and children

I hope for your sake and mine that the Home Office decision is wrong, and BIP can confirm this. I think for me the risk of applying and being rejected is too high as I only have a few weeks left...

Re: Ancestry visa options for wife and children

It's a tough one, I would also be eligible under the Romein judgement except for being born in Australia, and I've just forked out £3k for ILR so it hurts.

Re: Ancestry visa options for wife and children

Sorry to hear that mate. It may be that the Spousal Visa is the next best option. Your children can also be included on this application.

Re: 2019/2020 visa and nationality fees

Re: RRV 157 substantial ties

Thanks Paul, that's quite helpful. I guess we will just have to check when we're ready to apply and cross that bridge when we get to it. At this stage we can only prove Australian citizen partner and...

Can I please hijack this thread to ask a quick question.

Re: Shipping vehicle

Hi, I did the same but the reverse journey bringing our Australian market Toyota to the UK. At the time it made sense, it was 2 years old, would have lost a lot selling it quickly and we would have...

Re: Girlfriend moving to Oz. is it possible

Yes that's exactly right, so everytime you want to travel while the partner visa is being processed you'll need to buy the type B bridging visa or make sure that the previous one doesn't expire...

Re: Marry in Australia move to UK

It's definitely not a problem, I married a UK citizen in Australia and moved to the UK on an Ancestry visa as it was much cheaper than spousal and we didn't need to meet the financial requirements.
