Im a bag of nerves!! We have had the packers in today and are flying out on Sunday. Cheers for everyone thats helped with info to get us this far and hope to see some of you in NZsoon. :thumbsup:

Im in the same boat with this.

You wont have to pay tax in NZ on your rent as you can take advantage of the 4 year tax break. You will be liable for some tax in the uk, you are still entitled to...

Its just that we are going to transfer the money from the house a couple of days before we go and if you dont give the bank an IRD number i read somewhere they will do you for full whack on the tax...

I have read a few things about getting IRD numbers before we get out there which sounds useful but on the forms from the IRD website you seem to have to put down your NZ address which we dont have...
