I’m not trying to be contrary, but that’s not the experience of our friends who moved back in 2018. They encountered a lot of unforeseen admin and expense.

All I have been told is after 15 years you have to re register to vote and register with HMRC.

no issues you just have to file paperwork for tax and reregister to vote ... that’s what I was told by a friend who moved back in 2018. It may no longer hold I guess.

just go through the electronic barriers and nobody will even speak to you! The U.K. doesn’t record or count people out of the country so they don’t even know when you left.

i got my renewal fast but my children were also renewing last time and it took way longer.

i was told we would only get “leftover” schools if we applied in summer. It may vary by LEA. In my county the kids have to start In September if they’re born before April 1 and January...

They did my biometrics 4 times for F1 visa, green card with conditions, removing conditions, naturalization. I imagine they're checking its the same person each time?
