Re: Superbonus 110

As Lorna said, it's a nightmare of paperwork and red tape that can only be dealt with by a professional assuming that you can find one. Materials and workers are in short supply and prices have gone...

Re: Non Residency Conditions

An ER visa is aimed at pensioners. You cannot work anywhere, not just Italy. You can convert it to a work visa after 5 (?) years, but that it a fairly new thing. No idea how it works. There is a...

Re: Non Residency Conditions

The max you can stay is 90 days in 180. No way round it unless you apply for a visa and that would then mean, to remain here legally, applying for residency.

Re: Non Residency Conditions

Without knowing which passport you hold, people cannot offer you good advice.
Generally speaking it's 90 days in Italy/Schenghan area, 90 days out. Not 180 consecutive days.

Re: Home Education for our kids

Neither have I heard of it for foreigners. Only heard it used for temporary workers, any nationality, when lodgings are provided.

Re: Home Education for our kids

Home schooling is legal and has gathered momentum in the past few years. However, without interference? No. There are a lot of rules and regulations. You need to register with your local school...

Problems at Manchester airport

Me, too. Always said that, for me, it's the UK's worst airport. Particularly terminal 3. Massive fail all around. Last trip, I'd decided not to book a taxi and just get a train. First time in years...

Re: Discount for double glazing?

Our building did some work and some of the residents chose 'sconto in fattura' with a bank. It cost 14% of their total plus the account's bill.

Re: Discount for double glazing?

Not sure what you are asking? The eco bonus is nationwide. It's 50% rebate on IRPEF paid. 110% is super bonus. No idea locally. However, here in the north, the is a minimum of 6 months waiting...

Re: Exporting a car from Italy to UK

We did this in January. It has changed post Brexit because the standard form is no longer applicable for the UK. You can drive to the UK, but you have to bring the plates back to Italy.

Re: Exporting a car from Italy to UK

From what I remember, you need to take the plates and log book to the Italian DVLA and apply for temporary plates to travel on. You'll also need temporary insurance. If you are already abroad; you...

Re: Just a reminder

Not really. Brits in Italy face the same problem. As usual, the UK gov isn't bothered about Brits who chose to live abroad and isn't interested in discussions on this subject with other...

Re: Tax on Pensions in Italy

Indeed. We found that over a certain about amount you have to hire an accountant even though the AdE admitted that their bill didn't add up. (€0+€0+€0+€0+€0=€10,000:huh:)

Re: Tax on Pensions in Italy

You don't mention where you are. I can send you the name of an English speaking account in Verona. He also does zoom consults. He is well known to expats, but not cheap if you decide to hire him.

Re: Ecobonus and solar panels

For solar panels, there is a 50% rebate up to the amount of IRPEF you pay, over 10yrs. As a non-resident, you don't pay IRPEF so no rebate. In my experience, installers only have a vague idea of...

Re: biometric residency card

People were doing it last week when I returned to Italy. However, I dont think that it will be possible when the Etias is introduced. I bit the bullet and got an Italian passport.
