Think I'm all googles out. By far the best way to get a good start on credit is a secured credit card and buying a car. So far one outmoded two ain't bad!!

That's the situation i'm in now. Which company did you use for the loan? I don't have anyone who I would ask to co-sign. Just me myself and I I'm afraid

I would if I didn't have to drive so much. I need a reliable car that won't be in the garage a lot or cost me a fortune fixing it. I'm looking for a decent place to get a loan and a car... Any ideas

wow sounds exciting. luckily i booked an app. and its first thing in the morning- best make sure i have enough caffeine to deal with the DMV. I've never heard anyone say anything good about it.

Thanks for the advice. I finally got through to the DMV after days of calling and waiting. You can't take both written and practical on the same day. I think they issue temporary licenses...

I'm from the uk and have just moved to Los Angeles. Luckily I am an american citizen (thanks mum) and have a ssn.
The DMV website hasn't answered all of my question so i thought someone here might...
