It takes a lot of time to change your way of life from the one you were used to in the UK. I am very good at budgeting, always have been and more so now we live in NZ.

I would have given us more time and not bought a house at all, we should have just relocated to a nicer area and lived off the interest our money was earning in the bank.

My middle son it's about $200 a year and $58 for the stationary pack at the beginning of every new year.
Just after Xmas when you're skint is a very expensive time of year what with having to buy...

It depends on the school decile, the lower the decile the more goverment funding they get ... the higher the decile the more parents are expected to contribute to the school.

Our old neighbours wrote us really long funny letters that we were banned from opening until we were up in the air, they were such good letters and I still have them now :D .

I got it in the uk and get it worse here in Canterbury, I use Flixinase for it here and it works a treat.
I got my mum to post me over Sainsburys own brand hayfever tabs at a cost of about 75p a...

$7.50 a jug where we drink which is about a pint and three quarters the hubby is telling me.

I'm tempted to buy the still (sp) they stock and have a go at making our own spirits :rofl: and I love the new asian stock they've just recently gotten in but I can find lots of the other stuff...

The outdoor smoking areas are a joke around where I live anyways cos they are so cosy you wouldn't know you...

I don't really rate bin inn .... it's ok for buying something particular that you need but if you're going to buy bulk you're still better at the supermarkets when stuffs on special.

Cider is really expensive here, and tastes like water, there is just no depth to the flavour at all and I loved my cider in the uk :(

Our first shop, we shopped like we would have done in the UK and it cost us a small fortune ... also it was a bit embarrassing cos we were the only folk...
