Re: L1-A Options

Mmm I'm not sure I agree with some of the replies above.

My husband came over as L1A and is now a PR. He was a global manager in the UK and transferred to the USA. During the green card...

Re: Foreign Degree Assessment/Evaluation

One thing I would suggest is that you get all your transcripts of each and every course you have ever passed during your degree. This is usually requested by employers. It can be a real pain...

Re: Fort Bend / Lamar areas of Houston

Do you have kids? If so, you would be sensible to do some serious research on the schools in the area guard looking at. I would avoid Rosenberg like the plague but that's just me. New...

Re: L1A/L2 to Green Card questions

My husband was L1A and family all L2s. We applied Dec 2010 and had our GC May 2011. It was very straightforward. That was the Texas Service Centre. The only pain involved was the fact I had to have a...

Re: Form I-130 child aged 19

Oooo, I am going to look into this! Maybe I should be less impatient and speak to the Attorney! Typical me! Thank you in advance - I was panicking about the time issue, actually!

Re: Aahhhhh!!!!! - Moving to the US without the kids?

Oh and SOMETIMES it makes parents feel better if they know someone else has done this (left a kid behind that is), so they feel they are not the worst parents in the world.................but I...

Re: Aahhhhh!!!!! - Moving to the US without the kids?

Not all kids have the ability to leave home at 18. Some 16 year olds are far more capable than 18 year olds. You know nothing about my son and his needs or abilities. But I defer to your apparent...

Re: Aahhhhh!!!!! - Moving to the US without the kids?

Maybe? Have you done it? I was trying to explain my experience, which involves my 18 year old. If he had been 16, it would have been my 16 year old. Leaving a child behind is a big deal for any...

Re: Aahhhhh!!!!! - Moving to the US without the kids?

I left my 18 year old behind in Scotland to finish his degree. He was in first year of a 5 year course. It was awful to leave him but we knew it was the best thing. His university is one of the...

First of all, I have asked this question of my attorney - she hasn't come back to me yet.

Second, I have looked in previous posts and I cannot see this specifically.

My OH came here as an L1A...

Re: car insurance for teen driver - any suggestions?

You'd think so. But I called 21st Century (the company we have our car insurance with) first of all and they quoted $2,800 for 6 months. The problem is that they are happy to insure her to drive...
