I'm assuming your holiday home is in Portugal, so why not use a PT company. We have been using Tranqilidade for a couple of years and they only ever put the price up 4-5€ per year.

The 72 hour limit for a test could be a problem if you are intending to drive back to the UK. Overnight stops are needed(at least one).24 hours on a ferry or transiting France(if you feel that way...

Queijo de Cheshire... impossivel (practise that Portuguese now !!).Cheddar plentiful in larger Continentes etc, but never found Cheshire since first arriving here (1980). Only time I ever found it...
