No. ACT Policing is part of the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and to join the AFP you must be an Australian Citizen.

You can never know.

We applied (onshore) in October last year and my partners visa was granted in January.

We were surprised as everyone (even immigration) said the wait was April 18 months.

It won't help or not help you get a loan.

Your credit card payments etc wont be on your credit report.

In Australia your credit report only shows applications and defaults. Not your payment...
