Re: Defaulting on US Taxes

Good job, OP. Way to alienate an entire country!

If you do this, I hope one day you get offered the job of a lifetime and you have to turn it down for fear of being arrested upon entry for tax...

Re: 90 Day Fiancee ... the Show

Quick, give me the URL! I really want to give money so that a sleazebag like that can stay in the country!

Re: 90 Day Fiancee ... the Show

No surprises there - except why has it taken so long?

Another one that should be deported - and may well be - is Larissa.

Re: Law Suit Advice

Of course, the best place to go to get advice on a procedure that could potentially leave you on the hook for thousands of dollars is an anonymous forum on the internet!

The ONLY advice you should...

Re: Currently on E2 - Any route to GC?

The only route, apart from marriage, is for your company to sponsor a GC on your behalf. Most people who transfer do so on the written promise of a green card after a period of time.

You could...

Re: Moving to the US, with a complication

'Three month or so'?

Your friend is already flouting the law if they are planning to stay one day longer than the 90 days allowed by ESTA.

As already stated, your 'business plan' as stated has...

Re: Quitting Smoking

Today, June 15th at 6:45pm, marks four years since I smoked my last cigarette (or anything else, for that matter!).

Re: Teacher with record needing immigration advice to work in the US

Really? Why don't we let the OP answer before passing judgement....again!

Ya know, people wonder why some others just stop giving advice. Funny how others just stay on and on and on.

Re: Teacher with record needing immigration advice to work in the US

There are several obstacles here.

1. You cannot apply for a visa yourself - the potential employer must do it.
2. You would most probably need to be certified by the relevant state education...

Re: Getting a car as new resident.

I guess you're suffering from selective reading comprehension! My post specifically talks about USED car dealers!

Also, the OP states that they are moving to the US in May. Highly doubtful they'll...

Re: Getting a car as new resident.

Personally, I wouldn't do it because the interest rates are usually pretty high, but if you absolutely need a car, then the 'But Here-Pay Here' used car dealers may be an option. Generally, they...

Re: 90 Day Fiancee ... the Show

Yeah, the Ecuadorean woman's boyfriend is a complete moron! Her village is decidedly third world, so it's no wonder she likes him. If you missed it, he's a Mormon and lives on what can only be...

Re: 90 Day Fiancee ... the Show

Actually, she was told that if she gives up her US citizenship, that would happen, to be precise. Of course, we all know that's an unlikely event! She is also moving to be with a 30-year-old Indian...

Re: Looking for Visa assistance

Diploma, not degree. I would prefer to say 'High School graduate equivalent' as we don't actually have a similar system in the UK - or at least we didn't when I went through the school system!

Re: Buying new Ride on Mower. Most reliable?

I don't know about today, but I was told by a dealer that most tractor mowers were all made by one of two companies and badged for the various brands (yes, that includes John Deere)!

Re: Cars - Leasing vs. buying used for cash?

Honda is a little different in that it's easier to compare like-for-like when shopping around. The model and trim level is the same for all cars of said trim level, so the dealers are all quoting for...

Re: Cars - Leasing vs. buying used for cash?

Some people (not me) prefer to lease and have a relatively new, higher grade car in their driveway and will have a...
