I was watching the Newcastle game but had the live updates up too - that was a fantastic end to the season. We’ve got the CL final and seeing which other team from up north replaces Burnley, then...

Re: The 2021/22 Football Thread

Re: The 2021/22 Football Thread

It’s Spanish law that release clauses are required. Neymar’s was set at €222M, and when PSG met that it meant Real and Barcelona had to go and really create crazy numbers precisely so they can’t be...

Re: The 2021/22 Football Thread

Re: The 2021/22 Football Thread

I was looking at the fixtures, and we play Liverpool and Man City back to back. It’s so exciting to know we’re going to affect the race to win. Goal difference is going to be what matters, right?

Re: The 2021/22 Football Thread

Nice to see VAR being used properly in the Liverpool game. Not sure what the Watford defender was doing, but that’s a penalty all day long, and that stuff happens so much and doesn’t get penalized.

Re: The 2021/22 Football Thread

I haven’t watched today’s game, we’re away in N’awlins but not surprised we lost, even if it was closer than expected.

Re: The 2021/22 Football Thread

Re: The 2021/22 Football Thread

Yeah, the goal was a good one. Stats had you having a lot more of the ball, which is how we played vs Brighton too. I would have been happy with a draw, and Brighton deserved at least a point too. ...
