My wife won't drive in UK because of lack of confidence. She didn't previously drive in UK before we moved to US, then out of neccessity took and passed her test in NC and drove to and from work etc...

On the other side of the coin of accents, our meal server last night had an Irish influence in his English, yet was from Latvia. Love it and loving the Yorkshire accents too.
