Reading an article today they have dropped the interest rates to deter new savers. Apparently during the time of initial lockdown when everyone was (allegedly) skint record amounts were deposited...

Just having another thought on this I feel sure when we opened our Millennium account in Portugal we gave our UK address so I suppose anybody in that position may also be compromised.

For a slightly different viewpoint Greener, I split my time between UK and Portugal. Yes, the standout cheaper item is Council Tax / IMI.

I personally don't find food much if any cheaper than UK....
