As things stand l'd try to have an open line of money movement with Transferwise (you'll need a UK account & a USA account) & only transfer what you need until the GBP strengthens.

I'm thinking your reply is my only option, & hopefully the GPB will get back to a better exchange rate with the $ & that because l'm lucky enough to be able to "put off" drawing my UK state pension...

Down here in the darkest corner of SW Missouri we have quite good fish & chips at Waxy's (plastic) lrish bar in Branson, but THE best Brit pasties ever in Springfield!!!!!:thumbsup:

Their rate is 0.0775% commission & there's NO charge on transactions over $10k.

ie; yesterday they would've put 15400 GBP into my UK...

What percentage doew Transferwise charge because the company who's name l've forgotten (duh!) charges 0.5%.......

I have a USA bank account as well as a UK bank account & while the dollar is strong against the pound (thank you Brexit!) l want to change dollars into pounds via a direct bank to bank transfer.........
