Re: Move from Florida but where to?

My wife and I always liked the look of NC (family made us gravitate to Ohio). NC Winters not horrible, but summers not too oppressive. Asheville is beautiful, but pricey.

I have two pairs of...

Re: Brits thinking of moving from New Zealand to Sarasota

Thanks for the insight. My friend is now a kiwi, having gone through the citizenship process recently. Now you mention, he did whine a lot about the crap windows in his house.

Re: TSA PreCheck Experience

A note of caution: my recent GE application took 5 months and 3 weeks to be conditionally approved. TSA pre-check is much quicker to obtain. Unless you travel international a lot you might be better...

Re: Brits in Southern Ohio

Hi,

I live in Dayton and work in Cincinnati; so, close but not that close. If you head over Cincinnati way, check out Jungle Jim's international food market - there's two of them in Cincy. It's...

Re: London Medical

Re: London Medical

Is your daughter a confirmed US citizen i.e. has a SSN and US passport and you registered the birth abroad? If so, no medical required, she can simply go to the US whenever she likes.

If you have...

Re: BA not flying dogs

If it helps, I flew a Great Dane on Virgin into Dulles, using Pet Air UK 12 months ago.

Virgin were excellent and (I think) they fly to Chicago.

Good luck

Re: Car Insurance for New Arrivals

Just to add my two cents, when getting a policy you will be offered state minimum insurance. Look to double this value and also ask for an umbrella policy of approx $1m-$2m.

State minimum...

Re: Global Entry UK Background Check

A word of caution regarding Global Entry. I am a LPR since Dec 2018. I applied for GE on 24 June 2019 - still pending review. There is no way to talk to CBP about the application; portal is useless,...
