Looking at a (not very clear) map I got the impression that Al Raha is pretty convienient for CIS - by which I mean no big scary roads to deal with for a while at least....

I know I am being really ignorant now but are these areas all expat compounds or just areas where expats tend to live? We lived in the wonderful KSA years ago and of course it was all compound living...
