I've been here a few years now. I can't comment on secondary education from personal experience but we've been seen three primaries: 1 state (in a very good area) and 2 catholic (in goodish areas).

Ah sorry - thought it was a typo. I think the FIRB concerns are basically the same - they apply if your visa does not allow you indefinate leave to reside in Australia or even if you are not resident...
