Owen778 thank you! I totally forgot about that. As I said we had accounts with almost nothing in them that we had to report. Think that would not have been necessary if we had less than 10,000...

Thank you. It looks like a sterling account at a US Bank is just not possible.
Celticgrid as you suggested it may be worth filing FBAR and just keep the one UK account. We were just thinking life...
