Re: Any experience chasing up a bridging visa application?

Thank you.
I may be mistaken but I think they have passed the completeness check. The updates they can get on their PR over the phone goes through all the criteria and says 'you do not need an...

Has anybody had any luck or know of any way to chase a bridgng visa application? I know about the web form and both that and calling result in being told that it is in progress. However, 51 days is...

Re: Emigration as a hospital consultant/specialist (doctor)

Hi and welcome.

1. Sounds like you're on the right track with the careers fair reps - just stick with the ones that are there on behalf of their province; there are no fees attached to working...

Re: Flying our cat from Manchester to Toronto - HELP!

We flew with our cat (on a different route with a different airline from you), but basically presented ourselves about 3hrs before flight time at the regular check-in desk and everything was made...

Re: considering move to BC

But do the pros outweigh the cons?
I think it depends why you're even looking into moving West? What is unsatisfactory about AB for you and your family currently and what are you hoping will be...

Re: Car leasing in BC

A couple of years ago we had no trouble being offered a lease by more than one dealership in BC and very little guaranteed income at the time. We had a deposit to put down but nothing huge....

Re: PR, no card yet, is TWP still valid at border?

Yes, that's what we plan to do. It's just the logistics of getting the primary applicant across first or being there together that makes it a little tricky :-)
Thanks again everyone, you've saved me...

Re: PR, no card yet, is TWP still valid at border?

Thank you for the quick and helpful responses. The only reason we can't get a longer timeline between landing and traveling to England is because it is dependant on an opportunity to cross the border...

PR, no card yet, is TWP still valid at border?

Hi,

I'm sorry if I've overlooked the answer to this somewhere; please post a link to a wiki or previous question if it's already available.

We have TWPs that remain valid for another year.
We...

Re: Arriving without Medical

I agree with Siouxie. It seems to me that since your intention is to work in Canada it will be awkward (at best) to pass the border as 'visitors' without return tickets and reassure the officers that...

Re: Arriving without Medical

Not sure what will happen instead (someone else will know and soon reply I'm sure) but I don't think they will issue the TWP to you when you arrive if you don't have the medical as you have stated it...

Re: moving companies

Almost a year ago we used GBLiners, SW London to Vancouver Island for a part container load. Not a thing was broken and we had a very good experience with them. However it did take 11 weeks (no idea...

Re: Help and advice needed for UK GP trying to move to BC!

Oh and in answer to your original post
3) if you're eligible and willing to apply on the border (check CIC website) and have no reason to believe you'd be refused then it only takes as long as you...

Re: Hello!! Good morning ! GP moving to BC Canada

Re: MA Degree Relevancy for Speech Therapy

Hi Jpisarek,

I am also a UK trained SLP and last year went through the process of getting registration here. I found each province has slightly different requirements and SAC-OAC (formerly CASLPA)...

We brought a tent in, spotlessly clean, packed in one of numerous boxes labelled as camping. No issues for us.

Re: Importing/shipping household Items on TWP visa

I find it easiest to think of the goods following you as having the same status as you do. If you are arriving on a TWP then so are your goods. When you have to leave, so do they.

If whilst here...
