Pretty much yep. Make sure you have airline approved carriers - check with the airline as it was different with BA than with KLM.

You cannot fly into the UK with an animal as excess baggage/in the cabin. You can leave the country like this but not return.

We brought our 2 cats out to YEG a couple of years ago using one of the UK companies (I can't remember which).

They had to bring them LHR to Calgary and we collected them from there because YEG...

Looking at addresses that's West edmonton so St. Albert wouldn't be bad for commuting (although crossing hw 16 is always a pain of a junction).

We were in st a, great for kids, typical suburb/desperate housewives wannabes, good rugby club etc, ...

Hi,

We can fly them as checked baggage to Europe which is only a couple of hundred dollars each. Uk won't allow them in as checked baggage and must use an approved transport carrier - the airlines...

It's looking to be $2-3k to fly 2 cats Calgary to London.

Looking at the numbers, we could fly to Europe (Amsterdam or Paris) ...

Sounds like eldest may be. To request the certificate, yes it's the $75 fee and you'd need certified copies of parent cit certificate plus your birth certificate etc. You send it all with the form...

They are claiming citizenship by descent therefore the person claiming it has always been citizen since birth even though they didn't have proof of it. The person is not applying for citizenship but...

You do not become a citizen because you are a dependent, you must still meet the required rules!

Eldest is born before 2009 therefore is a citizen by descent. Younger two are after 2009 so unable to claim by descent.

Depending in time of year:

Flights to Edmonton -
May-October, Gatwick is direct with westjet, 9 hours
Indirect with icelandair via Reykjavik but very quick changeover so about 11hrs.

Oh another thing, airlines will not fly live cargo if the ground temperature at any airport to land/depart at is below a certain temp so look at the time of year you are flying. (Ours went early...

We used the freight company at £1500 in the end as 3 young kids plus 2 cats plus lots of luggage was going to send me over the edge but it was all planned until the last fortnight when I freaked out!...

St. Albert is voted one of the best places in the country regularly (can't remember the exact phrase). It's about 15-20 mins into downtown Edmonton not in rush hour prob closer to an hour in rush...
