Agreed,I grew up not far from highfields and it was quite a pleasant area. Changed a lot over the years though. I love Quorn, Oakham and some of the other neighboring villages.

It's a small world - I was raised in Leicester (evington area) and also lived in Nottinghamshire !
I would consider Leicestershire this time, as opposed to Leicester "proper" which has become a bit...

True, but I'm researching the quality of education comparisons overall - starting from elementary school onwards. The lower tuition fees at university level are what I noticed along the way..

Been in Florida for around 10 years, toyed with the idea of moving back to uk several times, this time doing it with a parent hat on! (We are dual citizens).

Contemplating moving back for daughters education...

We're in Florida and have been for about 9 years. (Had a 6 month stint in U.K. Around 5 years ago).
I'm a UKC and DH is USC. Our daughter is 4 and has her UK and US passport.
I'm pretty nervous...

We just got our daughters passport back today - a mere, 1.5 weeks after we sent the application!
Applied and paid online from the US, sent the documents registered priority, and it was authorized...

Exactly! Which is why I would advise anyone who wants to live in Florida, to come and visit in summer and rent a house away from the beach to get a real insight lol
