My wife's card also arrived 10 days after the payment day. Hopefully mine is not far behind. The system has worked well for us, although I can see that some people struggled with the unfriendly SEF...

My experience is that the item is not available to pick up until the next day. I have never left it more than a couple of days or a weekend before visiting the post office so I don't know how long...

Because we all touched that biometric machine with our fingers at our interviews, the system extracted our ability to understand what's going.

Less than 48 hours passed and I was able to pay online through my bank. Now the long wait for delivery of the card in the post.

A good news post for a change.
Attended interview at SEF offices Faro at 4pm on Wed 16 Nov.
Logged in to SEF website this morning (18 Nov) and printed off payment details.
Will now wait 48 hours...

Once you get the DUC reference number for payment, you should wait at least another 48 hours before trying to make your bank or Multibanco payment.

SEF is in a real mess. So many people in the Algarve are getting invited to an interview in Lisbon, including my sister-in-law. Maybe I'm just lucky for a change but I gave up waiting for the SEF...
