Re: Potential Move To Qatar - Is it enough?

Since schooling is already included then it’s a decent offer even if your other half didn’t work. Accommodation will be around QAR 10-12k/m for a 2-3 bed apartment so from the remaining 20k you...

Re: Saudi Visa and Open University

In that case you need to get in touch with the HR Dept of your Saudi employer and ask them for further guidance.

Re: Saudi Visa and Open University

Will apply to all distance based learning courses/degrees even if you attended some classes in person. Some (or all?) GCC countries incl KSA and Qatar no longer accept non-classroom based courses...

Re: Will KSA attest my MSc for Professional Class Iqama

If it’s anything like Qatar then in addition to a degree certificate you *may* need a letter from the Uni which clearly states that you attended a classroom based course. In Qatar there are/were...

Re: NEOM Potential Job

I wouldn't bother mentioning your incomplete degree/course, from an employer's perspective they're pretty much irrelevant since you won't have any certficates to show for them (despite how good your...

Re: Job interview with Qatargas Help!. Plz

As you already have a Masters then you should be fine. I'd be worried if you didn't have ANY type of degree.

Re: WISE in KSA

Yeah that's a major disadvantage of Revolut at present but I believe they're in the process of getting UK FSCS certification. I only use them to exchange currencies (rather than use them as a savings...

Re: WISE in KSA

If your bank manager has said that you can't send USD funds to Wise's USD account (usually located in US) then you can't do much about it. But as others have already said, Revolut is a far better...

Re: Potential move to Dubai from Oz

Apologies if I've misunderstood you but I thought a chiller (producing chilled water) was purely for a/c purposes? In my apartment I'm levied chilled water fees but water from the cold water taps is...

Re: Visas for relocating to Dubai with family

I know In the past (around 1997) applicants had to leave UAE (if on tourist visa) and re-enter the country on the new work or family visa - people were usually going on visa runs to Muscat or some...

Re: Anyone using Revolut in UAE?

Thanks for the update Millhouse.

FYI transfers made the other way (Revolut AED > UAE bank), it seems Revolut use Barclays UK as the intermediary bank and they (Barclays) take a fixed AED 30 fee...

Re: Anyone using Revolut in UAE?

Thanks, may I ask whom you bank with in UAE?

A few days ago I made a test transfer of around $1000 from ADCB to Revolut and perhaps surprisingly, 100% of the funds were received at Revolut - all...

Re: Job Security in Qatar

If it’s in the o&g sector then yes, there’s always the chance your job is at risk if oil prices come crashing down, eg like they did in 2015. But this isn’t unique to Qatar, it could happen pretty...
