Re: Transiting UK airports Landside

Had thought about all of that but we left the UK in October 2019 and have all of our baggage with us having been in Grenada for over a year. Can't really leave anything behind as it would mean having...

Re: good or bad news

Look at it the other way around for entry into the UK, for example. What's the point of leaving a ZERO risk country for the UK fully-vaccinated, getting the required tests and submitting the results...

Re: Rescind Residency

I googled "Leaving Portugal and Moving On" and Angloinfo seem to cover most of the 'angles' that others have spoken of on here on a piecemeal basis. I would have to assume that getting your UK...

Re: Buying a Tavira-area property on a joint basis

All the things one would normally expect to achieve by buying a freehold property in a chosen area in the Algarve, as a non-resident, non-taxpayer - so it seems.

BUT now that the UK has left the...

Re: Buying a Tavira-area property on a joint basis

I thought that I ticked the boxes. It's not your main home - you would have nothing there when not there and you would have a home elsewhere and be resident for tax elsewhere, less than six months in...

Buying a Tavira-area property on a joint basis

Been watching the Portugal section intently as Brits struggle to come to terms with the need to get or not get residence, tax residence and some sort of counter to the 90 in 180 days allowance in the...

Re: The need to appoint a fiscal representative now UK has left EU.

The rationale is explained at post #4 and #5 above. It's nothing to do with your tax status in the UK in terms of tax on income there but only to do with whether or not you are resident in the EU, or...
