I don't think there is any grandfathering in of the 10% - the amount of uplift will depend on whether you hit state pension age before or after April 2016.

Well, I guess that would certainly cover you for while you were getting job seeker's allowance. I think that has 2 elements - 6 months worth for contributory where one's savings would not come into...

I don't think so. I am not currently working and not claiming any benefits and I don't anticipate getting credits for this time.
