I use Public Mobile, which is $38/month for 5gb, unlimited calling and text. It uses the Telus network.

Hydro is around $30 a month for my condo, more in the winter and less...

I would finish your studies in the UK and then move to Canada, if you moved over here first then you'd have to do the Prep program and add an extra couple of years to the qualification process.

What do you mean by outskirts? Burnaby/new west or further out like Chilliwack or Abbotsford? It may be easiest to get the skytrain in if it's the former areas, not so much the others.
