That still leaves the UK (providing freedom of movement is still a thing in 2020, and even barring that i'm sure a working holiday visa for Canadians exists) and Ireland. Dublin is a pretty big tech...

Agreed, you pay to play. Free versions of commercial a/v generally suck, that's why if you don't want to pay I recommend Defender. Defender plus a good ad blocker to defend against the cesspits...

Thanks. I've usually just kept the powerbank in my bag with the cable poking out to charge my phone and that hasnt been an issue. Out of sight, out of mind ;)

Deposit into Canadian acct, use something like transferwise https://transferwise.com/ to transfer to UK acct at a really good rate.

I'm travelling to Oman and Dubai at the end of Dec. I have dual Canadian-EU citizenship. I know for Oman on either passport I need to pay 5 riyals for an evisa and submit some info online, all good....

Yeah i checked the site and they are supposed to have them. (AC 777) Fingers crossed. Lufthansa on the 747 I think is where I only had them in Premium Economy.

Fair enough. I don't think doing it 1-2 days a week for 4-5 hours will put that much extra wear on my vehicle that I don't already do by

a) 40km commute each way to work/school
b) driving around...

In Ontario you just need a class G (regular) driver's license. No requirement for a commericial license. Like I said in the OP, its very little investment to get going, the only thing is a safety...

My dealership got me tires at manufacturer cost to them, so I reckon I got a decent deal out of that. if you do regular services at your dealership and they know you ask them and see what they can do.
